India Postal Dept Unveils ‘Special Envelope’ On Bhadrak’s “Chandbali Maa Kali Temple”

Bhadrak:    The India Postal Department has released a special cover (envelope) on the Chandbali Maa Kali Temple. Maa Dakhineshwar Kali is the presiding deity of Chandbali in the coastal district here of Odisha.

While 1000 such special postal envelopes have been printed, they carry the façade of the temple as well as the cultural heritage of the historic town of Chandbali, sources informed.

The special postal cover was released at a special programme jointly organized by the Bhadrak Postal Division and Maa Dakhineshwari Kali Committee that was graced by Bhadrak Postal Division Superintendent Sarbeshwar Mishra as the chief guest while temple committee secretary Khageswar Bal, Sadhana Sahitya Sanskruti Parishad president Shrikant Mahalik, IPPB Bhadrak branch senior manager Priya Ranjan Rout, Chandbali Sub-Post Office postmaster Pradosh Kumar Sahu and Samantarapur Sub-Post Office postmaster Debashish Das were prominent among others on the dais.
