Bhubaneswar: The cricket teams of India and West Indies landed in Bhubaneswar today ahead of the third ODI to be played at Barabati Stadium of Cuttack.
The teams in their team buses with security convoy were taken via sealed off route to the Hotel Mayfair where the teams are being housed.
The teams were given a traditional Odia welcome with tilak, aarti and uttarayan. Followed by that they were given a rousing reception with a synchronized dance by the staff in popular Bollywood number ‘Tune Maari Entriyaan’.
Not falling far behind in giving a welcome to the teams, the smart city denizens had lined the entire route from the airport till the hotel. OMMCOM NEWS spoke to a few fans who were jolly happy at a cricket match being held in Cuttack after a long time and at being able to glimpse the cricket stars up close.
Kohli fan Priti Mohan Sahoo said, “Am here only to cheer captain Virat Kohli.”
“We are very sure that India will win the match and series. I could only catch a glimpse of the team, nevertheless, it made me very happy,” said another fan Hara Kharsil.
The last and deciding match of the three-match ODI series is being played at the historic Barabati Stadium of Cuttack. The online tickets were sold-out and the sale of offline tickets is underway.
