Bhubaneswar: The Women’s finished fourth after losing out to Great Britain in a hard-fought bronze medal match. The women might not have won a medal but have definitely won many hearts.

Odisha is proud to be a partner of Hockey India in their endeavor to taking hockey to the next level. The state is welcoming its hockey heroes at Bhubaneswar, the same place where they qualified for the Olympics.

Both the teams, which displayed historic performance in the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics, were escorted in special buses from the Airport after their arrival at 11.15 AM.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be meeting the players today evening. Meanwhile, the teams will be accommodated at Hotel Sandy’s Tower in the capital city where they will interact with the media at 3 PM.

The Indian Hockey teams will have a photo session with CM Naveen today at 5 PM at Hockey Complex in Kalinga Stadium. The felicitation programme for India Hockey Teams will be held at 6.30 PM at Convention Centre, Lokaseva Bhavan.

Notably, the Indian men’s team clinched a historic bronze medal at the Olympics after 41 years and the women’s team had entered the semifinals for the first time but narrowly missed out on a medal.
