Malkangiri: A dedicated snake rescuer, in collaboration with the Wildlife Squad, successfully rescued an Indian Python from MV-11 village in the Malkangiri Division.

The python was later safely released into its natural habitat.

Thanks to ongoing awareness and sensitisation efforts in the Malkangiri Forest Division, more residents are choosing to inform the Forest Department for help with wildlife encounters instead of causing harm to the animals.

The rescue showcases the importance of community engagement and cooperation in protecting wildlife and preserving the region’s natural heritage.
