Bhubaneswar: In anticipation of a significant increase in passenger traffic during the upcoming Puja festival season, Indian Railways has announced the operation of weekly Puja Special train services between Patna and Puri.
This initiative aims to provide enhanced travel facilities and manage the expected surge efficiently.
According to an official press release, the train service—numbered 03230/03229—will run weekly from Patna to Puri and back. The train will depart from Patna every Thursday, starting August 28, 2025 and continue until December 25, 2025.
The return journey from Puri will commence every Friday, from August 29, 2025, through December 26, 2025.
Coach Composition:
- One Second AC coach
- Two Third AC coaches
- Nine Sleeper Class coaches
- Six Second Class seating coaches
- Two Luggage-cum-Second Class coaches equipped with facilities for Divyangjan passengers
The train will stop at key stations in both directions, including Bakhtiyarpur, Barh, Mokameh, Kiul, Jhajha, Jasidih, Madhupur, Chittaranjan, Asansol, Durgapur, Barddhaman, Dankuni, Andul, Kharagpur, Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, and Sakhi Gopal.
Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and book tickets in advance to avoid last-minute inconveniences.
