Jharsuguda: Low-cost airline IndiGo launched its second daily direct flight connecting Odisha’s Jharsuguda with Bengaluru on Wednesday.
The flight is of 2.05 hours.
The Airbus A320neo took off from Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda at 1.00 pm on Wednesday and reached Bengaluru around 2.55 pm. The direct flight from Bengaluru commences at 10.15 am and arrived in Jharsuguda at 12.11 pm.
According to Sandip Tiwari of IndiGo, the second direct daily flight between Jharsuguda and Bengaluru comes 10 days after the launch of direct flights between Jharsuguda and Kolkata. These new flights will further strengthen inter-state connectivity, making it easier for travellers to reach this significant industrial and business center,” he said.
Tiwari said, “We are delighted to commence operations from Jharsuguda, fortifying our domestic connectivity. As an emerging industrial hub in Odisha, Jharsuguda holds immense potential for business and trade, and these new flights will unlock a realm of opportunities in the region.”
