Bhubaneswar: In a bid to check ineligible beneficiaries from reaping the benefits of Odisha Government’s flagship programme KALIA Yojana meant for the empowerment and welfare of the small and marginal farmers as well as the sharecroppers and land labourers, the Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Department has extended its last date of scrutiny.
This was informed by Odisha Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo today.
Briefing media soon after the high level review, the Minister informed that the last date of KALIA beneficiary scrutiny has been extended to August 27. On that date, the existing list will be scrutinized at the Gram Panchayat level while at the block level the last date is August 29 and August 31 at the district level.
He also informed that 13 lakh KALIA beneficiaries out of the total 51 lakh KALIA beneficiaries in the existing list have been scrutinized till date.
The ineligible ones detected after the final scrutiny will not be entitled to receive further installments of KALIA henceforth as per the provisions of the Odisha Government, asserted the Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Minister.
