Bhubaneswar: The health condition of the newborn baby, who was rescued from a borewell in Odisha’s Sambalpur district on Tuesday, is reported to be stable. She is being treated by a 10-member medical team at the SNCU (Special Newborn Care Unit) in VIMSAR, Burla.
On Tuesday, an infant fell into a borewell in a forested area near Laripali village under Rengali police limits in Sambalpur district of Odisha. When passers-by heard the cries of the baby, they alerted others, and an operation was launched by the local police and Fire Services personnel to rescue her.
After an eight-hour rescue operation, the baby was successfully rescued and shifted to VIMSAR, Burla via a green corridor for treatment.
