Bhubaneswar: A joint team of the Commissionerate Police and the Special Task Force (STF) arrested two inter-state drugs smugglers following a raid at Ghatikia near the Odisha University of Technology Research Centre (OUAT) in the capital city on Sunday.
The accused have been identified as Mansingh Yadav of Uttar Pradesh and Mukesh Kumar Yadav of Bihar.
A case has been registered at Bharatpur Police Station under Section 20(b)(ii)(c)/29 of NDPS Act 1985.
The joint team has recovered more than 185 kg of ganja (dry cannabis) from their possession.
According to sources, Mansingh and Mukesh were staying at Ganeswarpur under Industrial Police Station in Balasore district.
It is worth mentioning here that the Special Task Force has seized more than 68 kg of brown sugar/heroin, 202 gram cocaine and more than 113 quintals of ganja/marijuna, 750 gram of opium and arrested more than 168 drug dealers/peddlers since 2020.
