Interim 3-Days Relaxation For Berhampur & Other Urban Areas In Ganjam

Bhubaneswar: The Ganjam district administration has given a three-days relaxation period for the residents of Berhampur and other urban areas to allow the residents to stock up daily essentials. Starting from today (July 14), the relaxation time is from 6 am to 4 pm till July 16.

Taking to Twitter the official account of Ganjam Collector cum District Magistrate shared the update. The tweet further said- “Will watch the public response to social distancing & decide further shutdown.”

Another tweet said that this relaxation is only ‘for purchase of essential things’ that people from rural areas should avoid travelling to NAC and BeMC.

Notably, the Berhampur town has been sealed from today onwards. Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) Chakravarti Singh Rathore had said, “Outsiders cannot enter Berhampur and the residents cannot move out of the city limits. Only people engaged in emergency services will be exempted from this restriction.”
