Intra-State Dacoity Gang Busted In Odisha’s Balasore

**Balasore:** In a major crackdown on the dacoits of the State, as many as thirteen robbers were nabbed by Balasore police and forwarded to court today.

According to the information provided by these robbers were involved in more than 33 cases of dacoity and snatching across Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, and Bhubaneswar. Guns, 6 rounds of bullet, sharp weapons, laptop, 17 mobiles, 9 nine bikes, Rs 4 lakh, a gold chain and silver utensils were seized from the dacoits’ possession.

Balasore SDPO Prabhas Chandra Pal said, “On October 9, a dacoity had occurred in Soro. Following that link, the police personnel found out that a large gang was involved behind the dacoity.”

“So, with the efforts of police personnel from Soro, Nilagiri and Khaira, a manhunt was launched to nab them,” added Pal.

The masterminds in the gang- Sapa, Papu, Mantu, Bapi have been arrested, however many miscreants are still absconding.

“Efforts are on to nab them as well,” concluded Pal.
