Investments Worth Rs 4.33 Lakh Cr Secured In Energy Sector At Utkarsh Odisha Conclave 2025

Bhubaneswar: On the second day of Utkarsh Conclave 2025, one of India’s largest investment summits, a sectoral session on Renewable Energy for Viksit Odisha and Equipment Manufacturing for Renewable Energy: Developing an Ecosystem was held in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, investors, and senior officials from the Department of Energy, Government of Odisha. A total of 300 participants, including businesspersons, government officials, and students, attended the session.

Speaking about the abundant opportunities in the state, Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo said, “The government is keen to partner with industry leaders to achieve our renewable energy aspirations and contribute significantly toward a greener future.”

He further added, “Odisha has adopted a comprehensive and forward-thinking approach to energy development under the ambitious vision of Viksit Odisha 2047. We are committed to balancing industrial growth with environmental sustainability, ensuring that our progress is both inclusive and responsible.”

Several MoUs were signed with Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), ONGC Tripura Power Company, REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) in the solar, wind, pumped storage, battery storage, and compressed bio-gas sectors. These projects, collectively worth ₹1.24 lakh crore, aim to boost Odisha’s renewable energy landscape.

The Deputy CM also announced that the event had attracted global industry leaders, generating an investment intent of ₹3.09 lakh crore. In total, the energy sector has secured investments worth ₹4.33 lakh crore.

The flagship event concluded today with a grand cultural program, and the Conclave will be open to the public on January 30.
