IT Dept Raid On DN Group Continues For 4th Consecutive Day

Bhubaneswar:  Income Tax Department officials continued raids on city-based real estate major DN Group for the fourth consecutive day today over alleged tax evasion.

People in the know revealed that Income Tax Department officials were grilling Jagadish Prasad Naik, DN Group Chairman face to face with the Group’s employee Chandrasekhar Panda at the Group’s head office.

Income Tax Department officials have raided 23 locations including the Group’s head office in Nayapalli area of the city.

Reportedly, Income Tax officials seized cash to the tune of Rs 30 crore from the house of Chandrasekhar Panda on Wednesday.

The currency notes in the denomination of Rs 500 were found packed in three steel trunks and one suitcase kept under the bed of Panda in his rented accommodation at Postal Colony in Unit IV of the city.
