Bhubaneswar: An ITI student, identified as Rudra Madhav Rana, was found dead in ITI at Mancheswar in the capital city on Friday morning. Rana reportedly killed himself after allegedly being beaten up by his teacher, his mother alleged.
While the cause of Rana’s death is still unclear, he was an ITI Electrical student from a private college in the Mancheswar area of Bhubaneswar. He hailed from Odisha’s Keonjhar district.
Mancheswar police have registered a case of unnatural death in this connection and are investigating the matter. The police are interrogating Rana’s friends and teachers at the private educational institution.
