**Berhampur:** Top Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda is on a fast-unto-death stir inside the jail for the last two days pressing for the fulfilment of his three-point charter of demands.
Prominent among the three demands is a cable TV connection in his cell to watch various channels of his choice.
Sabyasachi was produced in the Ganjam District Judge and Sessions Court here on Friday relating to his two cases under trial in which no witnesses turned up, his lawyer informed.
According to his lawyer Deepak Patnaik, Sabyasachi is on a fast-unto-death strike in Berhampur Circle Jail demanding D2H facility in his cell as the jail is having access to it barring him.
He also apprised the court that he had applied for taking IGNOU exams in January 2016 through the jail authorities, but yet to be acknowledged.
Sabyasachi also brought to the court’s notice that despite being ordered earlier, the jail authorities have not yet provided him a table fan.
Taking cognisance of his petition, the court has issued notice to the jail office, Sabyasachi’s lawyer said.
