Bhubaneswar: The Jajpur district administration has announced the reopening of hotels, street food stalls, eateries and restaurants in the district from July 1. These outlets were previously closed due to a diarrhoea outbreak in the area.
The reopening comes with strict guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) that the food establishments must adhere to. This move aims to restore normalcy in the district while ensuring the health and safety of the public.
Residents and business owners in Jajpur can look forward to enjoying their favourite street food and restaurant meals once again, with the assurance of strict health protocols being followed.
The administration had earlier ordered the closure of eateries and hotels in the worst-affected areas of the district for two weeks as a preventive measure.
Tehsildars of Dharmasala and Rasulpur had also ordered the temporary closure of ice-cream factories, packaged water units, besides fish and chicken outlets during the period. Restriction was also imposed on mass gatherings and community feasts like weddings, birthday celebrations, thread ceremony feasts and others.
