Jajpur: A day after the body of a college girl, stated to be of RD Women’s College, was recovered from a roadside under Kuakhia PS limits, the district police today claimed to have identified the alleged murder suspects from the CCTV footage that has captured two youths carrying a girl on a red-colour Scooty bike and allegedly dumped her body yesterday, as the local farmers complained.

Speaking to media today, Jajpur Road SDPO Chinmoy Nayak claimed that they have identified the two suspected youths.

The body of the girl, identified as Jharaphula Nayak of Mayurbhanj district, who was pursuing her +3 second year courses at Bhubaneswar-based Rama Devi (RD) Women’s College, was recovered yesterday from a spot along the Mulapal-Rajendrapur road under Kuakhia PS limits.

Her father and brother confirmed her identity yesterday and have alleged that she has been murdered and dumped by a youth of Khurda’s Banki area as he had allegedly developed an affair with the girl despite being objected by her family members.
