Jay Dholakia Sworn In As Nuapada MLA In Odisha Assembly

Bhubaneswar: Jay Dholakia, the newly elected MLA from Nuapada, took the oath of office and secrecy as a member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly on Thursday. The oath was administered by Speaker Surama Padhy in her chamber.

Dholakia, who won the by-election with a huge margin, defeating BJD’s Snehangini Chhuria and Congress’s Ghasiram Majhi.

Dholakia’s victory came after the seat fell vacant following the death of his father, Rajendra Dholakia, who was the sitting MLA. The by-election was held on November 11, and Dholakia emerged victorious with a significant lead on November 24.
