Jay Panda Dares BJD Leadership. Is It The End Of Road For Him In BJD?

**Bhubaneswar: ** Despite having created flutter earlier for his political taunts and jibes through his official Twitter handle, Kendrapada MP Baijayant Panda (popular as Jay Panda) has for the first time openly dared his parent party BJD’s leadership.

In his reactions soon after the hassle-free inauguration of an overhead water tank in Mahanga assembly segment under his parliamentary constituency on Thursday, the visibly excited BJD MP also openly instigated the crowd present there to be violent against those unnecessarily poking nose into party politics and managing BJD’s political affairs.

As this time the inaugural function graced by him passed off peacefully amid alleged threats and protests from his own party men in Mahanga assembly segment, an extremely elated Jay Panda in his media reactions ironically spit venom on the party leadership by daring to obstruct him further and learn a lesson from the voters.

Last time he was vehemently protested by his own party men and was hurled stones and eggs in Mahanga assembly segment under his own Kendrapada parliamentary constituency.

Reacting sharply to Baijayant Panda’s caustic comments before media at the inaugural function, BJD spokesperson Pratap Keshari Deb retorted, “In the last three years, it is being stated that officers are doing politics and getting involved in politics. Whose utterance is it and is being reiterated? He is none other than hon’ble Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Our hon’ble Kendrapada MP Baijayant Panda has also echoed the same today.”

“It is evident that both have uttered same because next year is of general elections and many fence sitters will be switiching sides. Some will quit BJD. Some will join BJD. Some will join BJP. Some will quit BJP. Hence, such statements will be in plenty even in the days to come. Today it’s crystal clear that our Kendrapada MP’s statement and the Union Minister’s repeated statement on officers and their poltical proximity is all the same,” the BJD spokesperson averred.

Notably, tight security arrangement was made in Buhalo in Mahanga assembly segment (represented by Odisha Health Minister Pratap Jena) ahead of the BJD MP’s overhead water tank inaugural function. Five platoons of police were deployed to avert anything untoward like last time.

On the other hand, a group of BJD women activists staged protest against their party MP wearing black masks near the statue of their icon Biju Patnaik.
