Balasore: In a daring robbery, four miscreants attacked a jeweller with a knife and robbed him of a bag full of jewellery. The incident took place at Markona Bazaar under Simulia police station in Balasore.
The incident occurred when Pradeep Sahu, the owner of Babamani Jewellery, was closing his shop and taking a bag of jewellery from his car to his house in Riya. The miscreants, who were in a white car, attacked Sahu and snatched over 1 kg of gold and silver jewellery before fleeing the scene.
The Simulia police have launched an investigation into the incident and are working to identify the culprits. The police are reviewing CCTV footage and gathering evidence to track down the robbers.
Sahu was reportedly injured in the attack and is receiving treatment at Simulia Community Health Centre. The police are investigating to recover the stolen jewellery.
