Jharkhand Jumbos Wreak Havoc In Odisha’s Mayurbhanj, Locals Terrified
**Mayurbhanj:** As many as 25 elephants from Jharkhand have played havoc at many places of Sukruli block under Raruan forest division of Mayurbhanj district.
The jumbos have scared locals over past three to four days as they have destroyed cultivation, farming and number of houses. The situation becomes worse during the night when the poor locals form groups and move from place to place after sunset.
“Despite repeated appeals the Forest Department has not responded duly. Though the forest guards somehow managed to drive away some of the elephants the damages continued,” the villagers alleged.
