Jharsuguda-Gondia Train Passengers Have Narrow Escape

Jharsuguda: The passengers onboard the Jharsuguda-Gondia train had a narrow escape after the pantograph of the train snapped while the train was entering Jharsuguda railway station on Tuesday morning. According to reports, while entering platform number 2 of Jharsuguda station, the pantograph snapped due to a short circuit. Electricity in all the compartments was cut and there was a loud sound. Soon, dense smoke covered the compartments as the electrical equipment in the bogies blew off.

While the incident triggered panic among the passengers and those present at the station no one was injured. Railway staff reached the spot and undertook repairs. Normal train services resumed after two hours.
