Jharsuguda: The accused in Jharsuguda’s minor boy Samarth Agarwal’s kidnap and murder case, Amit Sharma on Tuesday attempted suicide inside Reserve Battalion’s bathroom here.
Sources said Sharma slit his wrist and other body parts with a piece of glass he got by smashing a mirror in the washroom.
Sharma is on a three-day police remand and he was brought to the Reserve Battalion for interrogation in connection with the case.
Today was the last day of Sharma’s police remand. Following the incident, Sharma was rescued and rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
