Jharsuguda: Prince Sony, the 10-year-old boy who went missing from his house in the Buromol area of Odisha’s Jharsuguda on April 7, was rescued by the Jharsuguda Police and Childline members from Bilaspur railway station in Chhattisgarh on Monday morning.
The Jharsuguda SDPO held a press conference on Monday and informed that the boy was rescued from Bilaspur railway station in Chhattisgarh this morning.
“The abducted child was rescued from Bilaspur, the Railway Police and CWC of Bilaspur spotted the minor boy and informed the Jharsuguda police today. A team from Jharsuguda police and a team from Childline went to Bilaspur,” SDPO Nirmal Mohapatra said.
It is worth mentioning here that Prince’s mother had fallen ill and was hospitalised on April 7 and his father accompanied her to the hospital. The boy was at home with his brother and went missing from there. He was last seen standing in front of the house on April 7.
Jharsuguda SP Parmar Smit Parshottamdas said that a case of abduction was registered at the Town Police Station on the basis of a complaint lodged by his family members on Sunday.
The police launched a search operation to trace the whereabouts of the boy.
