Jharsuguda: Jharsuguda police recovered Rs 27 lakh and the stolen ATM by foiling an ATM heist, thanks to the alertness of their night patrolling team.
As per reports, a few unidentified miscreants had used a JCB excavator to uproot an ATM from the Central Bank Of India kiosk at BTM Square late last night and decamped with the entire machine, leaving behind a damaged kiosk.
However, the police patrolling team sprang into action quickly and chased the miscreants without delay. Police successfully detained three suspects including the owner of the JCB machine, recovered the stolen cash, worth Rs 27 lakh, and the ATM itself, due to their swift response and investigation.
