Jharsuguda: The death toll in the accident between a bus and truck at Sarbahal in Jharsuguda district on Friday has gone up to eight. Some of the injured persons are still under treatment.
Reportedly, a bus carrying workers of JSW Bhusan Power and Steel Ltd plant hit a truck from the rear at Sarbahal yesterday.
Four among the passengers died at the Jharsuguda District Headquarters Hospital, one at Samleswari Hospital, one on the way to VIMSAR in Burla, and two during treatment at VIMSAR.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased persons and has wished for a speedy recovery of the injured persons.
