Jharsuguda Shantinagar Firing Accused Arrested, Weapon Seized

Jharsuguda: Police have arrested the accused in connection with Friday’s broad daylight firing at Shantinagar locality. Police have also seized the weapon of offence.

According to the police, the victim Rakesh Oram who has been admitted to the district headquarters hospital is out of danger.

The shoot -out was over love affair, police added.

Notably, while Rakesh and his mother were sitting in their house in the afternoon on Friday two youth who came on a scooter fired two rounds at Rakesh.

Luckily, the bullets brushed past Rakesh’s shoulder leaving him injured. He was rushed to the district headquarters hospital by locals.
