Bhubaneswar: Jindal Steel has been awarded by Bengal Chambers of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I) for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) work in the field of Health, Community Development & Women Development.
The award was presented at a grand ceremony in Kolkata on December 19, by Dr Bhaskar Chatterjee, Former Secretary, Government of India and Former Director General & CEO of Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Jitendra Kumar, Chairperson, National CSR & Corporate Governance Committee, BCC&I, President Legal & Corporate Affair and Dr Ravindra Chamaria , Chairman, Infinity Group.
The prestigious award recognised Jindal Steel’s flagship CSR initiative, Kishori Express, for its outstanding efforts in the holistic development of healthcare for adolescent girls.
This recognition from the Bengal Chambers of Commerce & Industry underscores Jindal Steel’s deep and sustained social impact, through its social arm Jindal Foundation, across its operational geographies in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand. Its interventions have touched and transformed millions of lives. Through a holistic development approach, the Foundation has strengthened community well-being by addressing health, education, livelihoods, water security, and women’s empowerment in an integrated and sustainable manner.
