JMFC Court Disqualifies Kundei Sarpanch For Being Illiterate

Nabarangpur: Sarpanch of Kundei gram panchayat under Raighar block in Nabarangpur district was today disqualified from her post by a local court.

Sunita Bai Gond was disqualified by Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Raighar Pratyush Kumar Chand from the post of Sarpanch of Kundei gram panchayat.

Sunita Bai’s nearest rival in the sarpanch election Ranjita Majhi had petitioned the JMFC Court that the former was illiterate.

The JFMC Court apart from recording the depositions of Raighar BDO, Kundei Panchayat Executive Officer and another sarpanch contestant Binita Gond and took a writing and reading test of Sunita Bai.

Based on the depositions of the witnesses and evidence the court disqualified Sunita Bai from the post of Sarpanch of Kundei gram panchayat.
