Bhubaneswar: While senior IFS officer Abhay Pathak was on three-day remand and was grilled last week by the State Vigilance for further investigation into the massive disproportionate assets case, his arrested son Akash will also be taken on remand for collecting his signature samples in the alleged job fraud case complained by Tata Company.
Police Commissioner Sudhansu Sarangi informed media today that the police would be taking Akash Pathak on remand for collecting his signature samples.
The Police Commissioner added that the signature samples would be sent to the Handwriting Bureau in a bid to ascertain the veracity of his signatures allegedly put on the appointment letters issued to the desirous job seekers on behalf of Tata Company.
It has been alleged by the Tata Company that Akash posed himself to be an incumbent managing director (MD) and issued appointment letters to scores of unemployed youths of Odisha and allegedly amassed money from them for the favour during the pandemic lockdown situation.
