Bhubaneswar: A two-day joint naval exercise, Sagar Kavach, is currently underway in the Bay of Bengal, off the Astarang coast in Puri district in Odisha. The exercise aims to enhance maritime security, prevent terrorist infiltration, and deter external threats.
Multiple departments like Marine Police, Indian Coast Guard, the Indian Navy, the Forest Department, the Fisheries Department, and the Intelligence Department have been involved in this joint exercise.
Security has been tightened by the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, and Marine Police along with the Indian Navy, while strict security is being maintained on the coast with the participation of various departments, including Odisha Police, CISF, and Forest Department.
