Bhubaneswar: Union Health and Family Welfare Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda arrived in Odisha on a two-day visit on Thursday. Nadda was received at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) by BJP Odisha unit president Manmohan Samal and other senior party leaders.
Nadda is scheduled to participate in the 9th National Summit on Good, Replicable Practices, and Innovation in Public Healthcare Systems in India, organized by the National Health Mission (NHM). During his stay in Odisha, Nadda will spend the night at the Konark Eco-Retreat in Puri district
The summit will be held in Puri on February 28 (Friday). Nadda will inaugurate the event at 10 am and unveil the report of the 16th Common Review Mission.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling are also expected to attend the inaugural ceremony.
The NHM summit, which began in 2013, has become a key platform for sharing innovative practices and advancements in India’s public healthcare system. This year’s event will focus on replicable strategies to improve healthcare delivery across the country.
After the inaugural session, Nadda is scheduled to visit the Jagannath Temple in Puri at around 2 pm. He will then return to Bhubaneswar and spend approximately two hours at the State Guest House before departing for New Delhi from BPIA at 7 pm on Friday.
