Judges, Lawyers Made To Wait For Two Hours Outside Containment Zone In Malkangiri

Malkangiri: Judges and lawyers on Thursday were forced to wait for over two hours outside the barricade put around the court area in Malkangiri district which had earlier been declared a containment zone till July 15.

As the courts of CJM, SDJM, JMFC-I and JMFC-II lie in the area, at around 10 AM today, all the respective judges and lawyers had arrived there to attend their offices but were stopped by police.

While police claimed that the containment zone has been extended, they were unable to produce any supportive document. As a result, an argument broke out between the two parties.

At around 12 PM, the local administrative officials were able to produce the order regarding extension of the containment zone following which the judges and lawyers left the spot but expressed their displeasure over being made to wait for two hours.
