Jumbo Scare In Odisha Again: Elephants Near Rural Hospital In Jharsuguda
**Jharsuguda**: Man-animal conflict in the state elevated to a new level, as elephants strayed into Kolabira Community Health Centre in Jharsuguda district today.
At around 7 am in the morning, three jumbos were spotted inside the hospital premises, alarming the patients and the administration.
Forest officials reached the spot and warded off the mammals from the hospital. Fortunately, the jumbos went into the nearby Tureikela jungle without causing any destruction of property or loss of life in the hospital.
This is not an isolated case of elephant menace in the area. Earlier this year, some jumbos had entered a nearby village and had destroyed a few houses leaving the people appalled. Also several cases of trampling to death are being reported.
