Puri: Former Supreme Court Judge Justice Arijit Pasayat, who has come to Odisha on a four-day visit, is slated to head a high-level meeting to supervise the inventory of valuables stored in Ratna Bhandar (treasury) of Puri Jagannath Temple, on Saturday afternoon.
Sources said, Justice Pasayat will offer prayers at the Jagannath Temple following which he will chair a meeting of the high-level committee formed by the government for supervision of Ratna Bhangar inventory.
Also, it is learnt that Pasayat will hold a meeting on black money on March 11.
The meeting assumes significance as it comes ahead of the elections. Justice Pasayat is the deputy chairman of a special investigation team (SIT) on black money.
While renowned cardiologist Ramakant Panda is the vice-chairperson of the committee, other members are Bidhubhushan Samal, former chairman-cum-managing director of Allahabad Bank, AK Sabat, chartered accountant, a representative of Puri King Gajapati Dibyasingha Deb, representative of Archeological Survey of India, four servitors – Durga Prasad Dasmohapatra, Madhav Chandra Mohapatra, Jagannath Kar and Ganesh Mekap, chief administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and the collector of Puri.
