Bhubaneswar: A 48-year-old forest ranger, posted in the Kalampur section of Thuamul Rampur range, died under suspicious circumstances on Monday evening.
The deceased forester is Prakash Mishra.
According to reports, Mishra was working in his office when he suddenly fell asleep at his desk. When he remained asleep for an extended period, other employees grew suspicious. They tried to wake him up, but he didn’t respond. Consequently, the employees rushed him to the nearby Community Health Centre, where the doctor declared him dead.
The cause of death remains unknown, and an investigation is underway.
Hailing from Paria village under Junagarh police station in Kalahandi district, Mishra was residing in Bhawanipatna with his wife and daughter.
