Bhawanipatna: In a tragic incident a 65-year-old physically challenged man drowned in a pond in Majhiguda village under Koksara police limits in Kalahandi district on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Mansingh Punji.
According to reports, Mansingh had gone to the pond near his house to take a bath. While bathing in the pond he drowned.
On being informed, Fire Service personnel reached the spot and fished out Mansingh’s body from the pond.
Koksara police have registered an unnatural death case and sent the body to Koksara CHC for post-mortem.
