Bhubaneswar: The Kalinga Yuva Sena, a prominent social organisation, celebrated the holy occasion of Gopasthami at its Patia premises. The event was marked by the worship of cows, including stray ones, and the recitation of Hanuman Chalisa.

The programme saw the participation of several notable personalities, including Odia cine superstar Babusan Mohanty, former editor and publisher of ‘Samaj’ Prabhas Acharya, actor Ardendu, Cuttack Choudwar MLA Sauvik Biswal, KIIT Public Relations Director Shradhanjali Nayak, and social worker Amaresh Parida.

During the event, Babusan worshipped the cows and fed them fruits, emphasising the importance of compassion and care for these gentle creatures. The organisation has been tirelessly working for the welfare of cattle for the past 10 years, providing medical care and shelter to those in need.

Kalinga Yuva Sena’s dedication to cow service is evident in its daily activities, where members rescue and care for injured cows and bulls, nursing them back to health. Hundreds of volunteers have dedicated their lives to this noble cause, working selflessly to ensure the well-being of these animals.

On this auspicious occasion, the founder of Kalinga Yuva Sena, Chandrasekhar Das, welcomed the guests, and members, including Siddhartha Das, Pushpanjali Mishra, Debashis Maharana, and others, participated in the worship and sought blessings from the cow mothers. The event concluded with a renewed commitment to serve and protect these beloved animals.
