Kantabanji Jailor Suspended Over Dereliction Of Duty And Misconduct

Bhubaneswar: Jailor-cum-Superintendent of Kantabanji Sub-Jail, Santoshini Dash, has been suspended with immediate effect by Odisha Director General of Prisons and DCS.

During her suspension, Dash will be based at the office of Senior Superintendent, Circle Jail, Sambalpur, and will not leave without permission.

The suspension follows a contemplated disciplinary proceeding against Dash for dereliction of duty and grave misconduct. She will receive subsistence allowance as per Orissa Service Code Rule-90.

The Directorate of Prisons and Correctional Service issued a notification stating that the action is being taken under Orissa Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1962.
