Cuttack: Preparations for Panchak Brata and Bada Osha in holy Karttik began at the Dhabaleswar shrine. Karttik Brata will be celebrated from October 18 to November 15 at Dhabaleswar temple in Cuttack.
It was decided at a preparatory meeting chaired by Cuttack Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde. All the rituals were finalised.
As per the decision, Panchak Brata will begin from November 12 to November 15. On November 13, Bada Osha will be observed and Baba Dhabaleswar will give darshan to devotees in Bada Singhar Besha . Gaja Bhoga will be offered to the Lord on the same night, and distributed to devotees on November 14. The month-long Karttik Brata will conclude on November 15, marked by Boita Utsav.
In view of a huge crowd at Dhabaleswar temple for Kartik Brata and Bada Osha, special security measures will be implemented to ensure hassle-free celebrations.
