Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths arrested Antarjyami Sahu, Forest Range Officer of Kashipur Forest Range in Rayagada district, for possessing disproportionate assets.
Sahu was found to have amassed wealth worth crores, including immovable properties and investments that he couldn’t account for satisfactorily.
During raids, he was found in possession of disproportionate assets including five buildings, nine valuable plots, gold 263 grams, deposits approximately Rs 28 lakhs in banks, post offices, and insurance policies.
The Odisha Vigilance conducted simultaneous raids at nine locations across Kandhamal, Ganjam, Nayagarh, and Rayagada districts. A case, Koraput Vigilance PS Case No 28/2025, has been registered against Sahu, and he will be forwarded to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore, for further proceedings.
The investigation is ongoing, with the Vigilance Technical Wing measuring and valuing the properties.
