Bhubaneswar: The Forest Range Officer of Kashipur Forest Range in Rayagada district, Antarjyami Sahu, who was arrested by Vigilance on Saturday, has possessed disproportionate assets (DA) worth crore, exceeding 184% of his known sources of income.
During a thorough search of his residences and other properties, the vigilance team unearthed several immovable and movable assets, including five buildings, nine valuable plots, gold ornaments weighing 263.22 grams, bank and postal deposits worth Rs 28.51 lakhs, and other assets.
The assets include buildings in Baliguda, Daringbadi, and Berhampur, as well as plots in Baliguda, Jogiapalli, and Kodasingh. The vigilance authorities calculated Sahu’s income, expenditure, and assets and found that he was in possession of disproportionate assets that he could not account for satisfactorily.
Sahu was forwarded to the Special Judge’s court in Jeypore after his arrest. The investigation is underway.
