Kendrapara: The district administration of Kendrapara has come to the rescue of Anil Kumar Pati, a 35-year-old man of Raghudeipur village in Derabish block of the district, who has lost both his kidneys.
Anil is the only earning member of a family of four persons including his widowed mother, wife, and 7-year-old daughter. However, the family has been undergoing various difficulties after the failure of his both kidneys.
Doctors have advised him for kidney transplantation. However, after learning that the kidney transplantation will cost around Rs 10 lakh, his family members have been urging people for their support.
Kendrapara Collector Amrit Ruturaj said that Anil will be provided with the best possible treatment. His treatment will be free if he is a holder of the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) card or ration card.
A medical team will be sent for his diagnosis. If needed he will be sent to SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack and provided free of cost treatment by the State Government, he added.
