Keonjhar’s DN High School To Be Developed As Centre Of Excellence

Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra visited DN High School in Keonjhar on Sunday afternoon. He interacted with teachers, alumni, and local intelligentsia and stressed on development of the school.

Mahapatra has adopted the High School under ‘Mo School’ programme announced by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik recently. The school will be developed as a centre of excellence in secondary education, said Mahapatra on the occasion.

He inaugurated the ‘Atala Tinkering  Lab’ with automated facilities in the school and visited classrooms, library, laboratories, and other areas of the school.

Mahapatra urged the alumni of DN High School to work together for taking the institution to a higher level. “Guide the students in their respective fields of excellence through digital modes,” he advised.

The Chief Secretary assured that the staff quarters would be construed and the playground of the school would be further developed.

During the CS’ visit, Collector Ashish Thakare informed that construction of the water treatment plant and drinking water facilities have been completed. “A hostel for boys and another for  girls is under construction and these would be completed soon.”

The alumni association of the school felicitated the Chief Secretary on the occasion.
