Bhubaneswar: Mancheswar Police arrested the key accused in this connection with the brutal killing of Sahadev Nayak, an employee of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and a prominent social worker.
As per reports, the accused Susei Nayak alias Sushant, had reportedly left his two-wheeler and was absconding after eliminating Sahadev.
It is pertinent to mention that seven persons were earlier arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder of Sahadev. Among them, Rama Nayak surrendered at the Mancheswar Police Station on February 16. Rama’s arrest led to the arrest of Sahadev.
Notably, Sahadev, who belonged to Kedarpalli slum under the Capital Police station area of the city, was returning home after leaving her minor daughter at her school in the VSS Nagar area in the morning when the miscreants hacked him with sharp weapons, killing him on the spot.
