Bhubaneswar: The Additional Sessions Judge-1, Khordha, Bhubaneswar, on Friday sentenced Sahajan Khan alias Sania to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) for raping a minor girl.
The case, registered in 2021 at Balipatna police station and was investigated by officers Pushpalata Rautray and Rakesh Kumar Samal, who produced all necessary documents and evidence before the court.
The court relied on the victim’s statement and witness testimonies, which corroborated the prosecution’s case, to pronounce the conviction and sentence.
The case was argued by Special Public Prosecutor Rajib Sasmal and Additional Public Prosecutor Balaram Deo, who secured the conviction.
