Khurda ATM Loot: Machine Found In Odisha’s Puri Canal, 2 Arrested

**Khurda:** In a successful trail, Khurda police unfolded a case of ATM breaking in Tulasipur village by nabbing the culprits along with recovery of stolen machine here last evening.

It was alleged that on the night of November 11, some unknown bandits took away the ATM Machine of TATA INDICASH from Tulasipur village. After investigation, it was revealed that Shiba Prasad Das (IT Engineering pass-out) and Susanta Parida of Nayagarh had committed the crime after organizing gang.

“The gang leader Shiba located Tulasipur ATM as their target due to its isolated location. On the said night the above criminals came in a Mahindra Pickup van and pulled down the whole ATM machine by using gas cutter machine,” stated the press release by police.

“Later, they broke the cash chamber and took away the money and distributed amongst themselves. They cut the machine into pieces and threw it in Puri Canal near Pahal, which has been recovered from deep water,” further stated the press release.

The accused persons Shiba Prasad Das and Susanta Parida have been apprehended and have been forwarded to the court. Rs 60,000 cash, two mobile phones, a gas cutter, gas cylinder, one welding machine, ATM Cards, pick-up van and one hammer were recovered from the accused persons’ possession.

Cops have also taken steps to recover the rest amount out of Rs 1, 82,000 which was loaded in ATM before commission of crime.
