**Bhubaneswar**: Bhubaneswar based businessman Manas Ranjan Das, who was kidnapped from Jharkhand in August this year and released by his abductors after 40 days has finally reached Bhubaneswar.
“I don’t know whether my family members have actually given some amount of money to the abductors as they are denying it. But I seriously doubt that they have not paid anything. It is possible that they do not want to get me tensed at this particular moment,” informed the released businessman to the media persons.
“The kidnappers left me at a place 15 kms away from Ara in Bihar. I took an auto to Ara where the police confronted me as some accused person going by my looks. But when I related my predicament to them, they took me to the police station and talked to my wife to confirm the case. Then, I was allowed to travel to Odisha,” he said, further describing the process of his release.
Manas ran a poultry feed processing unit in Hajipur, Bihar, and was on his way back home to Bhubaneswar when he was reportedly kidnapped in the Giridh area of Jharkand on August 23.
