‘Kiratarjuna Besha’ Ritual of Lord Dhabaleswar Performed Amid Covid Guidelines

Cuttack: The much-awaited ‘Kiratarjuna Besha’ ritual of Lord Dhabaleswar was observed in Athagarh here amid strict adherence to the COVID-19 guidelines. With prohibitory orders in force in and around the temple, the rituals were completed sans devotees.

The devotees were not only deprived of having a glimpse of the rare attire of the Lord but also of special prasad called ‘Gaja Bhoga’.

After the opening of the Lord Dhabaleswar temple at about 1 AM, Mangal Aarti was performed followed by Bala Bhoga, Gharsana and then the offering of Gaja Bhoga at 3 AM.

Bada Osha is one of the most widely observed osha or fasting festivals of Odisha which is observed from Shukla Triyodashi in the Odia month of Kartika.
