Know Odisha CM’s Message For Cyclone FANI

Bhubaneswar: While the cyclone “Fani” is going to make landfall in the state tomorrow, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik has released a message asking all the residents not to panic about the upcoming situation.

It states that all the necessary preparations for the same have been made. It will be ensured that all the people will be evacuated safely because every life is precious. CM also mentions that the women, children, elderly and disabled people to be evacuated first. He asks the public not to feel threatened by any speculations and have faith in the government.

Currently, Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘FANI’ over Westcentral Bay of Bengal moved at speed of 15 kmph and lay centered about 430 km south-southwest of Puri (Odisha), 225 km south-southeast of Vishakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) and 650 km south-southwest of Digha (West Bengal) today morning. It is very likely to move north-northeastwards and cross Odisha Coast between Gopalpur and Chandbali, around Puri during 3rd May afternoon with maximum sustained wind speed of 170- 180 kmph gusting to 200 kmph.
